Descrierea hotelului

Welcome to Perivolas, Oia, Santorini Perivolas is the ultimate in laidback luxury. Poised on the cliff high above the Aegean, this intimate escape is designed as a place where you can let the rest of the world slip away. Built amphitheatrically, Perivolas’ secluded location combines expansive views with the luxury of absolute tranquillity. It’s just a short walk from Oia, the most beautiful village on Greece’s most romantic and dramatic island, Santorini. Originally designed as a family home, Perivolas still feels like a private residence. Every house is different. Built by native craftsmen using local materials, interiors embody Cycladic style, with its organic forms and smooth surfaces. Whitewashed rooms are naturally cooled by sculpted stone walls and vaulted, skylit ceilings. Beds are built into snug alcoves, with welcoming posies of hand-picked flowers. Low-slung sofas are offset by hand-woven rugs and cushions in vivid fuschia and lilac. The purity of design echoes the clarity of light. Timeless and quietly glamorous, interiors are pared down so that nothing distracts from the stunning views and nothing disturbs the intensity of the stillness. Nothing is superfluous, yet nothing has been overlooked. In a converted wine cellar, the residents-only restaurant uses seasonal local produce to create contemporary Greek dishes. As with everything at Perivolas, the emphasis is on the finest quality seasonal ingredients, served with unaffected simplicity. The Perivolas Wellness Studio includes a fitness centre for the exclusive use of our guests, where you can work out without tearing yourself away from the mesmerising view. Surrender to the surrounding peace in the outdoor hot tub, or relax in the steam room and sauna. Drift into bliss under the intuitive touch of our therapists, who offer a range of bespoke facial and body treatments. In the 19th century, like many other merchants in Santorini, the Psychas family developed a connection with Odessa on the Black Sea through trade in the island’s renowned wines. When Manos Psychas, a naval officer born in Odessa, was posted to his native Santorini in the late 1950s, he discovered that his ancestral home had been destroyed in an earthquake. Determined to renew ties with his beloved island, Manos and his wife Nadia purchased some ruined cave dwellings and stables in Perivolas, an area once cultivated with vineyards and orchards. Their dream was to create a family retreat. As their dream took shape, this private enclave has evolved to become a unique retreat for all our guests.
