The modern Hotel President is at a 15-minute walking distance to the historic and commercial center of Timisoara, located in an elegant residential area. TimiÈoara was first mentioned as a place in either 1212 or 1266 as Castrum Temesiense.[4] The territory later to be known as Banat was conquered and annexed by the Kingdom of Hungary in 1030. TimiÈoara grew considerably during the reign of Charles I.
